Marblewood (marmaroxylon racemosum) has heartwood in an orange-yellow color with black wavy streaking that gives it a marble appearance. Grain is interlocked and coarse textured. Turns well, but a sharp edge is recommended. Glues well, used for cabinet work, inlay and small decorative items, carving, turnings. Cut to size from quality, kiln-dried stock. 100 percent clear and sanded on both sides. Dimensions are +/- 1/8". Grain runs with the longest dimension.
